Sophfronia Scott holds a B.A. in English from Harvard and an M.F.A. in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She started her career writing and editing for Time and People magazines and now teaches creative writing for Regis University’s Mile High M.F.A., Fairfield University, and the Fairfield County Writers’ Studio. After publishing her first novel, All I Need to Get By, Scott was nominated for Best New Author at the African American Literary Awards. Her recent publications include a novel called Unforgivable Love and a collection of daily spiritual meditations for Forward Day by Day. She also has two forthcoming works: a collection of essays called Love’s Long Line and a spiritual memoir, This Child of Faith: Raising a Spiritual Child in a Secular World, co-authored with her son.
