Benjamin Conner is Professor of Practical Theology at Western Theological Seminary. He is also the director of Western’s Graduate Certificate in Disability and Ministry, the only program of its kind in the United States. Conner received his M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary. His teaching and research interests include practical theology, youth ministry, discipleship and Christian practices, mission studies, evangelism, disability studies and Christian history. For seven years before joining Western’s faculty he ran a ministry to and with adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He currently serves on Young Life’s National Capernaum Mission Wide Committee. He has published two books: Amplifying Our Witness: Giving Voice to Adolescents with Developmental Disabilities and Practicing Witness: A Missional Vision of Christian Practices. A third book—Disabling Mission, Enabling Witness: Exploring Missiology Through the Lens of Disability Studies—will be released in July 2018.
